EduSports, a Sportz Village initiative, was launched in 2009 with a vision to make sports an integral part of every child’s education and upbringing. The program is delivered by partnering with schools and completely integrating into the school’s academic system. EduSports has been implemented in more than 1500 schools and has impacted more than 4 million children. The EduSports curriculum is designed based on NASPE (National Association for Sports and Physical Education, USA) standards and has been recognised and awarded by multiple educational and industrial organizations.
On the occasion of the 15th year of launching EduSports, we are happy to announce the successful release of the book – ‘Get Kids to Play ‘ – which explores how parents, schools, and communities can get children to play more.

About The Book
Get Kids To Play’ is an attempt by the authors to explore how parents, schools, and communities can get children to play more. It is about how adults can support children by influencing various factors to increase the quantity and quality of the play experience. The book is written with two key decision-makers in mind – parents and school leaders. The contents of the book are organized like a Swiss knife. It has a range of utilities and ways to solve various challenges. The five chapters, namely Space, Time, Child, Content, and Facilitator, are organized in such a way that readers can jump to their choice of topic based on their needs.
Get Kids To Play is not a guide on ‘how to become a sports champion’ since the primary goal is to provide a toolkit for adults to get their children to play more. The trajectory of play, governed by a set of rules, is what evolved into organized sport. The plethora of sporting disciplines and their nuances from the lens of tournaments and competitions are beyond the scope of this book.
